Pat Bennett Race Cars
Our current ride was built in 2005 by Pat Bennett Race Cars in Amherst, Virginia. It's a 1966 Chevy II, full round tube chassis with a Strange engineering strut front suspension. Ford nine inch rear end with 4 link suspension and Strange coil over shocks. The car uses 4 wheel disc brakes from Wilwood.
Full steel doors with roll up windows and all original window glass elsewhere, the car has a fiberglass front end and deck lid to save some weight. Installed in the trunk is a fuel cell, two Optima batteries and a Barry Grant Racing fuel pump.
The car rolls on Centerline Convo Pro wheels with Goodyear 17"x33"x15" slicks.
Originally built for a Fulton Small Block Chevy on two stages of nitrous oxide, the car currently is fitted with a 555 Big Block Chevy built by Pat Musi Racing Engines. Conversion to the Big Block Chevy was performed by Custom Metal Craft of New Holland, PA.
